Matt Robison is a writer, podcast host, and political analyst who focuses on trends in demographics, psychology, policy, and economics that are shaping American politics. His work has been featured extensively on Newsweek, AlterNet, and Raw Story. He is the co-host of the Beyond Politics podcast with former Congressman Paul Hodes, broadcast on WKXL in New Hampshire. He spent a decade working on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Director and Chief of Staff to three Members of Congress, and also worked as a senior advisor, campaign manager, and consultant on several Congressional races. In 2012, he ran a come-from-behind race that made national headlines as the biggest surprise win of the election. He went on to work as Policy Director in the New Hampshire state senate, successfully helping to coordinate the legislative effort to pass Medicaid expansion.  Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Swarthmore College and a Master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.  He lives with his wife and three children in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Paul W. Hodes served two terms as a United States Congressman from New Hampshire’s second congressional district. He began his legal career in New Hampshire as an Assistant Attorney General under then-Attorney General David Souter. He was elected to Congress in 2006, and was chosen as the President of the historic 2006 freshman class. He served on the Financial Services Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government and was the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2010.

Paul is a member of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and of the musician’s union, AFM, local 374. In 2012, President Obama appointed Hodes to the National Council on the Arts, which advises the Chair of the National Endowment on the Arts.  He and his wife Peggo live in Concord, N.H. They are the parents of Max, an audio engineer and rock musician who lives in Oakland, California. and Ariana, a singer/songwriter who lives in Nashville, Tn.
